SHARD OF LAKE SUPERIOR & LAKE MICHIGAN

Influenced by nature and conservation, I took natural patterns found in topographical maps of the great lakes to create a small line of wearable objects that play with their original organic shape. Using a combination of new technology and traditional fabrication, I take these patterns and proceed to replicate, dissect, rearrange, and alter them so that the shapes become a revitalized form. These objects are made of silver, lace agate, oak, steel, brass, and powdercoat. There’s something in these inert shapes that provide them with their mystery and preciousness. This line of jewelry brings those feelings of curiosity to the wearer as their shapes entice independent thought.
